As per order of the Government of Assam, on Friday in a meeting Narendra Kumar Shah, Deputy Commissioner, Chirang distributed the cheques of financial assistance to the Rongali Bihu Udjapan Committees, Rangali Bwisagu Faligra Afat and Bishuwa Udjapan Committees of Chirang district.
During the meeting, Sidli MLA Jayanta Basumatary along with Chirang Deputy Commissioner Narendra Kumar Shah, Superintendent of Police Pranjit Borah, Members of Council Legislative Assembly (MCLA) of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Saikhong Basumatary and Prabhat Basumatary ceremonialy distributed the cheques amounting Rs 1.5 lakh each to a total of 27 committees of the district.
