Palasbari Raas festival from tomorrow
ABHIJIT KALITA,PALASBARI,Nov 14: The Palasbari Raas festival committee and the residents are all set to host one of the top cultural events raas from tomorrow.
This time the 15-day Palasbari Raas festival will formally inaugurate tomorrow by Dr. Nani Gopal Mahanta,Vice chancellor of Guwahati University.
The inaugural meeting will be attended by Dr. Sanjeev Narayan, Chief Managing Director of Prag News.
It may be stated here that the Raas festival committee is organizing various exceptional events this year.
The 78th Palasbari Raas festival committee is expected to attract thousands of devotees every day at a cost of Rs 1 crore.
It may be mentioned here that the raas celebration committees from South Kamrup are working day and night to make the festival more attractive than in previous years. The idol makers and electricians are busy to give their finishing touch in their respective works. Cultural processions, naam, religious meet, jatrabhinay, ananda mela etc., will mark the raas festival.
