Pijush Hazarika Wins Jagiroad by Massive 93,584 Votes

In a resounding result from the Assam Assembly elections 2026, Pijush Hazarika has secured a landslide victory from the Jagiroad Assembly constituency, winning by a margin of 93,584 votes. He polled a total of 1,55,129 votes, reflecting overwhelming public support.

This marks Hazarika’s fourth consecutive win from Jagiroad, underlining his strong connect with voters and sustained political influence in the constituency.

He defeated Bubul Das of the Indian National Congress in what turned out to be a one-sided contest. The result also mirrors the broader dominance of the Bharatiya Janata Party and its allies across the state.

With the BJP-led alliance heading towards forming the government once again under Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Hazarika’s victory is being seen as part of the wider mandate in favour of continuity and governance.

Celebrations erupted among party workers and supporters soon after the results were declared, with many calling it a strong endorsement of development and stability.

Reacting to his win, Hazarika expressed gratitude to voters, stating that the victory belongs to the people who supported progress, stability, and development.
