The chief executive member (CEM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang inaugurated the second biggest open stage at Umswai under Amri Member of Autonomous Council (MAC) constituency in West Karbi Anglong on Monday.
Inaugurating the open stage, the CEM said, “The biggest Open Stage was in Duarbagori MAC constituency and second biggest Open Stage is here in Umswai. I am glad to inaugurate the second biggest open stage constructed under a State government sponsored scheme.”
He further said, “Under Greater Umswai Water Supply Scheme, in one year piped water supply will connect every household of Umswai.”
The CEM further said that the development of 85 km PWD road from Nillie to Ulukunchi under state government sponsored scheme will also be taken up soon.
Solar lights will be installed on roadsides and waiting sheds, the CEM added.
MLAs Bidyasing Engleng and Rupsing Teron and local MAC of Amri and Executive Member (EM), KAAC, D Uphing Maslai and other EMs and MACs attended the day’s programme.
