Rhea Chakraborty has been making headlines ever since Sushant Singh Rajput passed away in 2020. Now, as reported by PTI, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Wednesday filed draft charges against Rhea, her brother Showik and others before a special court in Mumbai in connection with drugs case linked to SSR’s death. The news agency also reported that special public prosecutor Atul Sarpande said the prosecution maintained charges against all the accused as mentioned in the charge sheet filed before the court.

Adding to that, the prosecution has proposed the court to charge the actress and her brother for consumption of narcotics substances and also for procuring and paying for it for SSR. Atul Sarparde said the court was scheduled to frame charges against all the accused, but it couldn’t be done as a few of them who are accused moved discharge applications.

The court has said that the charges against the accused in the drugs case would be framed only after the discharge pleas are decided. The actress along with her brother Showik and other accused were present before the court on Wednesday. Special judge V G Raghuwanshi posted the matter for hearing next month – July 12.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra residence on June 14, 2020. The actor’s sudden demise broke millions of hearts. The Enforcement and Narcotics Control Bureau also did separate investigations in SSR’s death case. Rhea, who was in a relationship with SSR at the time, was arrested in the case and was later granted bail by the Bombay HC. After coming out of the jail, Rhea has been keeping a low profile. She is active on Instagram and often shares inspiring quotes, yoga pics and more.

Recently, on SSR’s second death anniversary, Rhea shared unseen photos with the late actor on Instagram and also penned a note for him. She had shared the photos along with the caption, “Miss you everyday.”
