KOKRAJHAR: Srirampur MCLA Wilson Hasda on Tuesday visited Saimon Kisku at Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital (FAAMCH), Barpeta, where he is undergoing treatment following a violent incident reported from Nagdolbari in Chirang district.

“I can only imagine the pain our brother Saimon Kisku and his family are going through. I strongly condemn this cowardly act, this is not just an attack on an individual, but on our society and the peaceful fabric of Bodoland.

The incident at Nagdolbari, Chirang is deeply unfortunate. Such acts are attempts to disturb harmony and push us back into chaos, which we must never allow.

This morning, I visited Saimon Kisku at FAAMCH, Barpeta, and assured his family of my personal support. Also grateful that Pramod Boro dada has also spoken with the authorities to ensure the best medical care and swift justice. The investigation must not be delayed, justice cannot be tarried.

We stand united for peace, justice, and dignity.”

The incident has triggered concern across the region, with calls for swift investigation and accountability. Wilson Hasda reiterated the need for timely justice and emphasized that such acts should not be allowed to disrupt peace and social harmony in Bodoland.

Local residents and civil society groups have also urged the authorities to ensure strict action against those responsible, while extending support to the injured and his family.
