New Delhi: Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju on Monday launched the Assam Rifles Public School (ARPS) in Shillong as a Khelo India Sports School. At present, nine Sports Schools have been approved across the country, out of which five are managed by Defence and Para-military forces.
GUWAHATI: Thousands of book lovers thronged the 33rd Guwahati Book Fair, which is under way at the AEI playgound, Chandmari here today. A press release of the Publication Board Assam stated that more than 50,000 people visited the fair today, especially in the evening when there was a massive rush.
