Tamulpur Admin Imposes Temporary Ban on Heavy Vehicles Amid Poor Road Conditions

Tamulpur, July 20: In response to deteriorating road conditions, the Tamulpur District Administration has imposed a temporary ban on the movement of all heavy vehicles, including dumper trucks, within the district.

As per the official directive, the movement of heavy vehicles on the Latibari–Kaurbaha–Rangia stretch has been strictly prohibited. Instead, vehicles transporting goods between Latibari and Rangia are now mandated to use the alternative route via Tamulpur–Khatarbari–Matanga Chowk–Dwarkuchi–Rangia.

The order came into effect on July 19 and will remain in force until further notice, or until the road conditions are deemed fit for heavy vehicular traffic.

Authorities have urged transport operators and drivers to adhere to the new routing guidelines in the interest of public safety and infrastructure preservation.
