June 1, 2019: Two mountaineers from Assam named Chandan Das and Sashi Prakash Rai resident of Jalukbari, Guwahati scaled Mount Kilimanjaro.
Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa, with its summit at 4,900m from its base and 5,895m above sea level.
Both of them are the first Northeast Indians to scale the Mount Kilimanjaro.
