Two-Year-Old Bites Cobra to Death in Bihar’s Bettiah

In a rare incident at a village in Bihar’s Bettiah district, a two-year-old boy, Govinda, bit a cobra to death after the snake coiled around his hand.

According to family members, Govinda was playing outside his home when the two-foot-long cobra appeared and recoiled around his hand. The child reportedly struck the snake and then bit it, leading to the cobra’s death on the spot.

Govinda’s mother was nearby, collecting firewood, when the incident occurred. The boy soon fell unconscious and was first rushed to a local clinic and later shifted to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Bettiah for further treatment.

Dr. Divakant Mishra of GMCH confirmed that Govinda showed no signs of snake venom poisoning and is now out of danger.
