Unveiling of Mahatma Gandhi’s Statue at Kajalgaon Marks Tribute to the Father of the Nation
Chirang: In a historic event, the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), Pramod Boro, unveiled a statue of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, at Kajalgaon.
The CEM was accompanied by distinguished dignitaries including Executive Members- Wilson Hasda, Saikhong Basumatary, Sajal Singha, and Ranjit Basumatary, MLA Nirmal Kr. Brahma, alongside Chirang DC Jatin Bora.
Pramod Boro posted on facebook, “As we approach the 76th Republic Day of India, I unveiled a bust of Rashtrapita Mahatma Gandhi in Kajalgaon,Chirang, today.
Gandhi Ji’s ideals of peace, non-violence, and harmony continue to light the path forward in our journey to build a peaceful, smart, and green BTR.
Was joined by my colleague EMs Shri Saikhong Basumatary, Shri Wilson Hasda and DC Chirang Shri Jatin Bora, among many other dignitaries, at the event.”
Hon’ble CEM Shri Pramod Boro reiterated the importance of Gandhiji’s values in contemporary times, urging the people of BTR to draw inspiration from his teachings as they work toward a progressive and inclusive society.
