The ruling United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) party has decided to celebrate their Foundation Day scheduled to be held on 4th & 5th August (2022) with two-day long colourful programmes across the Bodoland Territorial Region districts.
In Kokrajhar, the central committee of the UPPL party in association with the Kokrajhar district committee of the UPPL party organising the foundation day to be held at Chandrapara ME School playground, Chandrapara.
In a press statement on Tuesday, UPPL general secretary (in-charge) Raju Kumar Narzary stated that a massive preparation and arrangement is got underway to celebrate the foundation day with a colourful programme scheduled.
The UPPL party stated that it is a matter of great joy that UPPL has undertaken seven years of the revolutionary political journey after having been founded on the 5th of August 2015 at Dotma, the birthplace of Father of the Bodos (Bodofa) Upendra Nath Brahma. In the milieu of formation of the spirited political party there lies the supreme sacrifices to the extent of lives of many cadres and extremely hard work with the mission of peace, equality, justice and prosperity in the Bodoland region and beyond. It is these sacrifices and sincere hard work that has enabled the party to govern Bodoland Territorial Region under the charismatic leadership of Pramod Boro, UPPL president and CEM, BTR has helped being part of the NDA coalition in the Government of Assam and Government of India.
On this auspicious moment, the UPPL party has decided to celebrate its 7th foundation day with two-day long colourful programmes on the 4th & 5th of August (2022) to be held at Chandrapara ME School playground in Kokrajhar.
During the celebration, various programmes apart from flag hoisting, a homage to martyrs, sapling plantation, a friendly football match between the Central Committee of UPPL vs Kokrajhar District Committee, UPPL party have also been organised to mark the event.
Hon’ble UPPL president and BTR CEM, Pramod Boro, UPPL founder president and Assam cabinet minister, Urkhao Gwra Brahma, UPPL working president and Rajya Sabha MP, Rwngwra Narzary, MLAs, BTR executive members, MCLAs of the UPPL party are attending as Guests in the event.
The UPPL party leader, Narzary informed that district committee and block committees as well as primary committees are prepared necessary arrangements for the event across the districts.
He appeals to all party workers and well-wishers cutting across the communities to co-operate and participate in the event to make a grand success.
