A Dalit girl was allegedly raped and blackmailed in Nakhri area of Firozabad district of UP. A 28-year-old man allegedly raped the 21-year-old girl by forcibly taking her to the farm, while a friend of the accused recorded the gruesome incident on a mobile phone. The video was later used to blackmail the girl.
The victim told the police that the two men used the video to blackmail her, and raped her several times in the last one month. The girl said that when she refused to meet the two men earlier this month, they shared her video on social media.
The two men have been arrested by the police. The Additional Superintendent of Police, Mukesh Chandra Mishra said that a case has been registered under sections 376 (punishment for rape) of the IPC, Information Technology Act and sections of SC / ST.
