Warrior Martial Arts Academy Shines at State Kickboxing Meet and Khelo India Women League

Guwahati: The Warrior Martial Arts Academy has once again proven its mettle on the state stage, as five of its dedicated young athletes marked their presence at the 6th State Level Kickboxing Championship 2025 and the Asmita Khelo India Women City League, held from July 26 to 27 at DTRP Indoor Stadium.
Competing under the guidance of Chief Coach Umanand Kapri and Team Coach Sangit Kumar Sah, the team brought home an impressive tally of medals. Out of the five participants, four secured podium finishes, showcasing not just skill, but exceptional discipline and commitment.

In the Khelo India Women City League, Sweety Shah clinched a Gold Medal, while Dolly Malaha earned a Bronze. At the State Kickboxing Championship, Sweety again dominated with another Gold Medal, joined by Akash Malo Das, who also struck Gold, and Shando Kachari, who secured a Silver. Dolly Malaha rounded off the academy’s winning streak with a Bronze in the same championship, which witnessed participation from over 750 athletes from across the state.
Speaking to Guwahati Times, Chief Coach Umanand Kapri reflected on the moment of pride:
“I felt a deep sense of joy seeing my students win medals. It felt like all our hard work finally bore fruit. From the beginning, we weren’t just training aimlessly. We had a clear goal, a vision. I wouldn’t attribute this success solely to my efforts — it’s equally the unwavering dedication, hard work, and focus of my students that brought us this glory.”
