Amit Shah to sign Bodo Accord tomorrow. This is third Bodo accord to be signed in last 27 years since violent movement for a separate Bodoland state began. Tripartite agreement will be signed in presence of Amit Shah CM Sarbananda Sonowal and Himanta Biswa Sarma in Delhi.
Banned separatist organisation ULFA-I claims responsibility for 5 bomb blasts in various places of Assam on Republic Day. 1st blast was outside a shop at Teokghat in Sonari police station of Charaideo. 3 explosions followed soon after in Dibrugarh – 2 at Graham Bazar and AT Road.
First incident reported from Sonari, Teokghat Assam. Blasts have also been reported from Dibrugarh, Assam. 1 near Dibrugarh aastha Hospital, another near Gurudwara. Another incident in Duliajan.

Assam government promises free rice for poor. Govt will offer free rice to poor and also provide pulses and sugar at subsidised rates in next budget. “Poor people in Assam will get rice at Re 1 per kilogram. Rice will be made available for free now,” said Finance minister Himanta
