Pragjyotish College Women’s Study Centre Commemorates International Women’s Day

Guwahati, March 13, 2024: In a collaborative effort with Pedal for a Change and ESAF Foundation, the Pragjyotish College Women’s Study Centre marked International Women’s Day 2024 with a vibrant celebration on March 11, 2024.

The event featured a presentation and interactive session led by Mr. Arshel Akhter, Bicycle Mayor of Guwahati and Co-Founder of Pedal for a Change. The discussion centered around the concerns and aspirations of young women regarding public spaces and mobility in Guwahati.

Dr. Sabrina Iqbal Sircar, General Secretary of the Women’s Study Centre, orchestrated and anchored the program, which was graced by Dr. Manoj Kumar Mahanta, Principal of Pragjyotish College, Vice Principal Shampa Chowdhury, and Dr. Reena Barman Kalita, President of the Women’s Study Centre.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 100 students, alongside captivating performances by college students.
