Kendriya Vidyalaya IOC Noonmati, Guwahati (Ministry of Education, Government of India) in collaboration with Shankardev Kalakshetra and SIP Abacus organized a creative street play “Importance of Education” on 2 May 2024 at 5 places in Guwahati in Kendriya Vidyalaya IOC Noonmati, KV Narangi, KV Khanapara, Shankardev Kalakshetra and City Center Mall respectively. In which a group of 25 students of classes 1 to 12 of the school presented a street play with the coordination of art, music, drama and dance on the National Education Policy- 2020 and the importance of education in society under the direction of their art teacher Shri Kaushalesh Kumar. This program has been conceptualized by Vidyanjali Portal operated by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
This street play is the result of the tireless hard work of the program coordinator, the school’s art teacher Shri Kaushlesh Kumar, in which the personality of the students and their education is being developed through art. Shri Kaushlesh Kumar says that this play will bring out a special attachment towards education in the students. The school’s music teacher Debarati Chowdhury has prepared the song and music of this street play in collaboration with the students.
The street play mainly includes NEP 2020, NCF, NIPUN Bharat, FLN, JADUI PITARA, PRERANA, BALVATIKA, ΤΟΥ BASED PEDAGOGY, SKILL & VOCATIONAL EDUCATION, PM SHRI SCHOOLS along with special courses being run by CBSE and NCERT, in which Diksha Nishtha etc. have been prepared by the students under the guidance of their art teacher Shri Kaushlesh Kumar through very beautiful and colorful cut outs, which is making this street play even better, charming, attractive and impressive.
Mrs. Dolly Das, Principal (Kendriya Vidyalaya IOC Noonmati) after looking at this play prepared by art teacher Shri Kaushlesh Kumar said that it is an outcome of National Education Policy 2020 and with the help of street play, intellectual, creative, emotional, social, thinking, critical, analytical, synthesizing, first and decision making ability is developing in the students.
Shri Chandrashekhar Azad, Deputy Commissioner, KVS RO GUWAHATI after watching the play, said that Kendriya Vidyalaya is not just a school. It is a bundle of emotions. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is moving forward with the commitment to make our development, our values and education better and such innovative programs. should keep happening. Kendriya Vidyalaya has brought new dimensions of education.
Shri Naresh Kumar, Assistant Commissioner, KVS RO GUWAHATI after watching the play, praised the efforts made by the school and said that the development of experiential education in students is very important.
Secretary of Shankardev Kalakshetra Shri Sudarshan Thakur said that such programs at school level help students to understand and preserve their art heritage from childhood, many actors can emerge from these students in future and assured his support in future as well.
The state head of the SIP Academy India Pvt Ltd, Assam Mr Tarunava Dutta (our Knowledge Partner) said that such programmes in the society greatly enhance the capacity of students to develop.
