Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBIA), Guwahati, managed by Adani Airport Holdings Limited, proudly announces the launch of a new daily direct flight connecting the vibrant city of Guwahati (GAU) with the historic city of Ahmedabad (AMD).

The inaugural flight, which took off on December 10, 2024, was marked by a festive cake-cutting ceremony and engaging activities for passengers. This new service represents a significant milestone in strengthening regional connectivity and fostering economic growth. Notably, it is the longest flight route from Guwahati, further enhancing its position as a key aviation hub in Northeast India.

Guwahati, often regarded as the gateway to Northeast India, serves as a bustling center for commerce, culture, and tourism. Meanwhile, Ahmedabad, a city rich in history, is celebrated for its thriving textile industry, diverse cuisine, and iconic landmarks like the Sabarmati Ashram and Akshardham Temple.

This direct flight will bridge these two dynamic destinations, opening up new avenues for business and leisure travel. It is also expected to facilitate improved access to education, healthcare, and employment opportunities for people in both regions, fostering stronger socio-economic ties.
