Assam Budget 2026: Projects Worth ₹3.10 Lakh Crore Underway After Advantage Assam 2.0

GUWAHATI, July 10: Assam Finance Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah, while presenting the Assam Budget 2026, said that Advantage Assam 2.0 marked a defining moment in the state’s economic transformation, attracting investment and infrastructure commitments worth over ₹5.18 lakh crore.

The minister said that of the total commitments received during the summit, projects worth more than ₹3.10 lakh crore are already at various stages of implementation and commencement.

According to the Finance Minister, these investments are expected to generate 1,02,557 direct and indirect employment opportunities across the state.

Looking ahead, the government plans to establish industrial parks in every district, develop land banks, and strengthen infrastructure and the policy ecosystem to attract the next wave of investments into Assam.

The initiatives, he said, are aimed at accelerating industrial growth, creating jobs, and positioning Assam as a leading investment destination in the Northeast.
