Assam: Chirang Gets Oxygen Generation Plant Donated By UK

A 16-tonne Oxygen Generation Plant received in donation from the UK to India reached Guwahati on Wednesday afternoon.
 
Upon arrival in the state capital, the oxygen plant was transported to Chirang district for installation in JBS Civil Hospital in Chirang’s Kajalgaon.
 
The plant was installed with assistance from National Disaster Response Force personnel who are responsible for the escort and management. 
 
The country has received three oxygen generation units with producing capacity of 500 litres of oxygen per minute as international assistance.  
 
Two other plants have been allocated to Satellite Hospital, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Ajmer and Emergency Building, SRG Hospital, Jhalawar in Rajasthan.
 
This is the first oxygen generation plant in this JBS Civil Hospital in Chirang district which would ensure a smooth supply of oxygen to Covid patients. This plant is capable of generating 100 oxygen cylinders per day.
 
Meanwhile, the district authorities and hospital administration are elated over the arrival of the oxygen plant.
