ASSAM: EDUCATION DEPARTMENT’s SOPS FOR REOPENING OF SCHOOLS

Guwahati:  The Assam State Education Department on Wednesday released SOPs to reopen schools for all classes from February 1.

Permission has also been granted to start college hostels , read the SOP’ s issued by Assam Education Department on Wednesday.

In addition, regular classes from class 1 to class 5 of lower primary schools and from class 6 to class 10 of the upper primary schools from 1st February.

Similarly, classes for the higher secondary, including class 9, 10, 11, and 12, as well as engineering colleges, polytechnics, undergraduate level, universities, etc., will also be conducted regularly from February 1.

According to the SOP the cleanliness of the school classrooms, hostel rooms, etc. should be given full importance before the commencement of new classes.

In the case of hostels, kitchens, toilets, dining rooms, dormitories for students, etc. should be completely sanitized.

Students who wish to stay in the hostel can return to the hostel with parents or guardians consent.

The SOP also mentioned maintaining social distance and wearing masks mandatory for the students.
