A proud moment for Assam.
Singer and composer Angaraag Mahanta (Papon) and singer-music producer and Chairman of Assam Film State Film Finance And Development Corporation, Simanta Shekhar, and the team from Assam have arrived at the Cannes Film Festival. Papon will represent India and his home state Assam at the prestigious international film festival.
In 2019, renowned filmmaker Rima Das made the State proud by representing the Northeastern State. She was also chosen as a panelist at the ‘India Pavilion’ of the Cannes film festival.
