Bodo MPs Meets Railway Minister, Discusses Wagon Factory and Train Stoppage at Kokrajhar

New Delhi, July 23: Rajya Sabha MP Rwngwra Narzary, along with Kokrajhar Lok Sabha MP Joyanta Basumatary, called on Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and held a productive discussion on key railway-related issues concerning the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).

The MPs pressed for the early establishment of the proposed Wagon Factory in Bodoland, a long-pending demand expected to boost regional employment and industrial growth. They also strongly advocated for the stoppage of more long-distance trains at Kokrajhar, the BTR headquarters, to improve connectivity and passenger convenience.

The Railway Minister assured to look into the matters positively.
