Liquor tycoon Vijay Mallya, whose extradition from the UK to India to face charges of financial irregularities had been allowed by a British court, was Saturday declared a fugitive economic offender.
The verdict of a special court for prevention of money laundering act cases means Mallya’s properties can now be confiscated by the government.
