As the number of COVID-19 cases in Kamrup Metropolitan district has crossed the 1,000-mark, all the educational institutions including student hostels in Guwahati will remain shut for next 15 days. Kamrup Metropolitan district has crossed the 1,000-mark in COVID-19 cases as 1,153 cases have been reported from the district on Monday. Out of the total 73,181 tests done in Assam, 3,137 positive cases have been found in the State. Among all the districts, Kamrup Metro has recorded the highest number.
