Cleanliness Campaign Held at Ram Janki Temple as Part of PM Modi’s 12-Year Celebration
Guwahati, June 14: As part of celebrations marking 12 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the OBC Morcha of BJP Guwahati organised a cleanliness drive on Sunday afternoon at the Ram Janki Temple premises and surrounding areas in Arya Nagar, Guwahati, under the Swachhata Abhiyan initiative.
Local residents and BJP workers participated in the campaign and cleaned the temple grounds and nearby areas.
Speaking to the media, Raju Shahani, a BJP worker, said, “As part of completing 12 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi Ji, cleanliness campaigns are being organised across Assam and the country. Today, people from the local area gathered at Ram Janki Temple in Arya Nagar and carried out this drive under the leadership of the OBC Morcha.”he added that many party workers took part in the campaign and expressed hope that such initiatives would continue in the future.
Ganesh Singh, convenor of the OBC Morcha’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan programme, said, “Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, we organised this cleanliness drive with the support of the public, BJP workers, priests and local residents. We plan to conduct more such programmes in the coming days.”He further stated that similar cleanliness activities are being organised across different parts of Assam and that the campaign would continue in other locations as well.
