GUWAHATI: Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu informed that the dates for conducting the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exam would be announced soon.
“Today we have a meeting with the Health Department. Covid situation is not same across the country. So, In case of Assam the exams should be conducted or not will depend entirely in the covid situation of the state. Today we will meet the Health Department officials to discuss this topic. I have been saying that exams should be conducted, but when and how it will be conducted is the matter of concern. It will be a big decision and we will need Chief Minister’s consent for that. As CM Sarma is in Delhi now, we will discuss about the exam with him after he arrives and we will take the decision accordingly. We have recieved a number of feedbacks from different organizations and intellectuals and all are asking us to conduct the exams,” said Ranoj Pegu.
Earlier, the Assam Government had said that the HSLC and Assam High Madrassa Examinations 2021 will be held as soon as the COVID-19 situation in the State becomes normal.
