First-Ever Grassland Bird Survey Conducted in Kaziranga!
Kaziranga National Park & Tiger Reserve has successfully completed its first official survey of grassland birds, identifying 43 different species inhabiting its expansive grasslands.
The presence of endangered and rare species—including the Bengal Florican—has highlighted Kaziranga as one of the most significant habitats for grassland birds in India.
A Finch Weaver breeding site was also discovered in the Kohora range during the survey.
