Five states will hold polls as a test of Modi’s popularity

Ahead of 2019 elections, to test the likeliness of the parties in terms of winning the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, 5 states Rajasthan,Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh , Telengana and Mizoram will hold polls later this year.

As per the Election Commision of India, Chhattisgarh on 12th and 20th November, Rajasthan-Telengana on 7th December and Madhya Pradesh-Mizoram on 28th November will be holding the polls this year.

After increasing fuel prices and fertilizer prices and weakening of the Indian currency in the last 5 years, these poll results are expected to play a significant role for the hypothesis of the upcoming 2019 elections.

Since many farmers were seen immensely supporting Modi in the 2014 elections anticipating a positive chang in the society, after witnessing a distinctive downfall in the rural economy during Modi’s rule, this polls are expected to be a clear sign of Modi’s acceptance in the 2019 elections by the farmers in the mentioned states.

Modi sharing his views on social media said that BJP had been running a successful government that had enhanced prosperity and inclusive growth in Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan ever since the party had come into power.
