Guwahati: A number of passengers, including senior citizens were stranded across the city after Rapido, Ola, and Uber the two-wheeler taxi drivers called for a strike in Guwahati from December 14.

The daily commuters using the two-wheeler bike services faced a problem early on Monday morning. The riders of different bike services like Ola, Uber, Rapido are staging the protest against the management for taking a high rate of commission despite lowering the fares.

The drivers of the various organisations have also informed that there are no physical offices of Rapido, Uber, and Ola in Guwahati. While Uber and Ola have closed their offices around two months back, Rapido has also done the same about a month ago, making it difficult for associates and drivers to talk to the management directly.

It was also informed that from 15th December, the four-wheeler drivers are to join forces for a protest until their demands are met.
