Himanta seeks vote in the name of saving jati, mati, bheti

State Minister and NEDA leader Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma today took part in a massive road show here, in favour of BJP candidate for Nagaon parliamentary constituency, Rupak Sarma throughout Nagaon town from Dimaruguri Tiniali to Sensuwa. Thousands of BJP supporters accompanied Dr Sarma and also danced along with him in the rhythm of the song especially dubbed for election campaign in favour of the saffron party during the show.
Addressing the gathering right after the road show, Dr Sarma said that for security of ‘Jati, mati and bheti’ of the greater Assamese nationalism in Assam, his party started its fight in 2016 and it was still continuing. It would continue in the far future too against those who had been trying to invade Assamese nationalism as well as its identity. Slamming the Congress candidate, Pradyut Bordoloi, Dr Sarma said that Rockybul Hussain brought him from Margherita to Nagaon so that he turn him into a puppet. He however urged that the people should vote in favour of BJP only to save the greater Assamese nationalism or its ‘jati, mati and bheti’ from Rockybul Hussain and Badruddin Ajmal once again. He appealed to all to vote for Rupak Sarma to strengthen the hands of Modi for the next term.
Earlier, Dr Sarma also addressed an election rally at Raha and urged the people to vote for BJP candidate for Nagaon LS seat, Rupak Sarma. During the road show, Dr Sarma was accompanied by the Minister Piyush Hazarika, MLAs Angoorlata Deka, Ramakanta Deori, candidate, Rupak Sarma, Dimbeswar Das etc.
