In a tragic incident, two youths lost their lives by lightning at Chukani under the Abhayapuri police station in Bongaigaon on Wednesday evening.
The deceased have been identified as Dwipjyoti Ray (22) and Jintu Kumar Ray (22), both residents of the Chukani village.
The youths were hit by lightning strikes when they were heading towards the market in a bicycle.
The incident has descended a pall of gloom in the area.
