ONGC Assam Asset categorically refutes media reports linking it to a recent controlled blast for the disposal of detonators in the Namti area of Sivasagar district. ONGC neither undertook nor participated in the operation and had no involvement whatsoever.

These reports are factually incorrect and misleading. ONGC urges the media organisations and platforms concerned to promptly publish corrections and retractions with the same prominence as the original reports.
