Ayushi Kalwar from Lala Bazar, Hailakandi became the first female from Hailakandi and Tea Garden community to clear UPSC examinations.
According to reports, she ranked 618 in UPSC Examination 2021. Ayushi Kalwar is the daughter of Lakshmi Nivas Kalwar and Asha Kalwar. Ayushi did her schooling from Mount Peak English School at Lala, her HS from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Hailakandi. She did her B.Tech from NIT Silchar.

Notably, She cracked UPSC all by herself without taking coaching from any institute.
