A delegation of the Sivasagar District Newspaper Hawkers Association led by its president Jatin Handique, executive president Krishna Goswami and secretary Guljar Hussain submitted a six-point charter of demands to Sivasagar MLA Akhil Gogoi on Friday in Sivasagar Circuit House. The Association demanded financial relief to tide over the Covid-19 induced hardship, grant of transportation facilities, free medical aid, and bring the hawkers under a pension scheme.
Akhil Gogoi assured the delegation with all possible help and his commitment to raise the issues during the state assembly.
