Russia on Monday carried out air strikes on multiple cities in Ukraine, including Kyiv, days after an apparent truck bomb damaged a massive bridge that links Russia to the annexed region of Crimea. Two large explosions were heard in Kyiv this morning, ending months of relative calm.
The Ukrainian presidency said explosions were reported in several cities across the country, including the capital Kyiv. President Volodymyr Zelensky said there were ‘dead and wounded’ from multiple strikes in many cities.

The BBC reported that Dnipro in the centre of the country, Zaporizhizia in the south and Lviv in the west were targeted apart from Kyiv.
