Sanskriti Sharma: The Rising Voice of Uttar Pradesh at Miss Grand India

By Sam.

Guwahati: In an age where young voices are shaping the new India, Sanskriti Sharma, a proud daughter of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, is quietly yet powerfully carving her own path. As a Miss Grand India finalist, she stands as a vibrant example of what it means to combine intellect, artistry, and resilience.

Born to Mrs. Urvashi Sharma and Mr. Sashim Sharma, Sanskritiโ€™s journey has been rooted in a home that values support and ambition. Currently pursuing her Bachelorโ€™s in Journalism and Mass Communication (Honours/Research) from Amity University, Noida, she is a student with clarity, a model with poise, and an entrepreneur with purpose. Her schooling years were shaped at St. Fidelis College, Lucknowโ€”where her confidence first began to bloom.

โ€œI am a professional model, an entrepreneur, and a student,โ€ she says with poise. Sanskriti is also the founder of Veridian House, a Lucknow-based marketing startup currently in the development phase. โ€œVeridian House is still in the process of becoming fully operational, but it reflects my long-term vision to build something rooted in my city,โ€ she adds. This entrepreneurial initiative adds another dimension to her multifaceted career and reflects her commitment to contributing to her hometownโ€™s creative economy.

Her familyโ€™s belief in her dreams has been a constant anchor. โ€œMy family is really very supportive about my goals,โ€ Sanskriti affirms. Their unwavering encouragement became the foundation for a career that now finds her on the national stage of Miss Grand India.

The journey to this platform has not been without its own set of challenges. โ€œHonestly, there has been a lot of hustle and bustle, but nothing stops me from going after my goals,โ€ she says. โ€œIโ€™ve been working very hard on everythingโ€”whether it is my talent round, my state costume or my national costumeโ€”because everything counts in.โ€

As a finalist, Sanskriti views the stage as more than just a competition. โ€œI feel really blessed that I got this opportunity and this platform to speak for myself, and inspire not only several girls just like me, but also the whole society out there,โ€ she shares.

Beyond modeling, she finds joy in lifeโ€™s simpler creative outlets. โ€œI love dancing, painting, cooking, and baking,โ€ she adds with a smile.

When asked about how she plans to represent her roots on the national stage, Sanskriti reflects on the cultural richness of Uttar Pradesh. โ€œThe first feeling I get when I think of Uttar Pradesh is the warmth that people hold in their hearts. Weโ€™re known for our famous delicacies, our artwork, and what not. Uttar Pradesh is a true essence of beauty. I believe the best way to showcase my roots is through my behaviour,โ€ she explains with clarity and depth.

Her gratitude toward her home state is heartfelt. โ€œI would like to thank each and every person who has been a part of my life and this journey. I thank them for the support they showered me with and for believing in me. At the same time, I want to say this to our societyโ€”that if I can follow my dreams, then you can too.โ€

Preparing for the Miss Grand India stage is no small feat, but Sanskriti approaches it with discipline and grace. โ€œIโ€™ve been preparing myself in every possible way. I like to journal out my emotions to balance them. Iโ€™ve been rigorously practicing my speech, my walk, my body presentation. I am so grateful to have such supportive people in my lifeโ€”it would not have been possible without them.โ€

As she prepares to represent Uttar Pradesh on one of the most prestigious beauty platforms in the country, Sanskriti Sharma brings with her not just the elegance of a model, but the heart of a leader and the voice of a generation unafraid to dream.
