‘Shooter Dadi’ Chandro Tomar Passes Away Due To Covid-19

Veteran sharpshooter Chandro Tomar, popular as ‘Shooter Dadi’, has passed away due to Covid-19.
 
89-year-old ‘Shooter Dadi’ breathed her last at Meerut medical college on Friday.
 
Chandro Tomar had tested positive for Covid-19 on April 26 and was admitted to the hospital after she complained of breathing difficulty.
 
60-year-old Chandro picked up the gun to win many national competitions. She took part in several competitions along with her sister Prakashi. Tomar was known as one of the oldest female sharpshooters in the world.
 
The Bollywood movie “Saand ki Aankh” which was released in 2019 was inspired by their lives.
 
Following her demise, ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ actors Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar took to their social media to condole her death.

 
An epitome of gender equality, Shooter Dadi was presented the ‘Stree Shakti Sanman’ by the President of India.
