YBSA Extends Support to Sonam Wangchuk, Backs Call for Education Reforms
Kokrajhar, July 21: The Young Boro Scholars Association (YBSA) has extended its support to education reform activist Sonam Wangchuk, expressing solidarity with his ongoing peaceful campaign for transparency and accountability in India’s education system.
In a press release issued on July 21, the association said it stands with Wangchuk’s demand for systemic transparency, student justice, and the protection of students’ rights amid concerns over examination irregularities.
YBSA described Wangchuk as a renowned educator, innovator, and climate activist whose contributions to education and sustainable development have inspired millions. The association stated that his ongoing agitation has highlighted critical flaws in the national examination system and called for immediate government attention to education reforms.
The association further said that Wangchuk’s peaceful fast and advocacy reflect a broader call to strengthen the integrity of India’s democratic and educational institutions. YBSA also urged authorities to ensure greater transparency, fairness, and accountability in the education sector.
