Guwahati: Heavy rainfall triggered a massive landslide at Shanti Nagar in Kahilipara area of the city today. The lanslide damaged a house completely. One person is still trapped inside the debris while Police and NDRF team are continuing rescue operation.

GUWAHATI: All the grocery and vegetable shops will remain shut in Guwahati during the 14-day lockdown which will come into effect from midnight on Sunday, said Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. He urged everyone in the city to collect the essentials before Sunday.
