The Directorate of Tea Tribes Welfare Assam, under the aegis of Tinsukia district administration, distributed bicycles for line chowkidars and smartphones to line sardars in a programme held at Dakhin Tinsukia Anchalik Rangamanch Bahadur Chariali on the outskirts of Tinsukia on Monday in presence of Sanjay Kishan, Minister of State for Labour and Tea Tribes Welfare Department.
As many as 572 bicycles for line chowkidars and 775 smartphones for line sardars under the schemes Distribution of Bi-Cycle for Line Chawkidars in Tea Garden and Promotion of Digital Literacy and Usage in Tea Garden for the year 2020-21 were distributed in presence of Pranab Dutta Goswami, Deputy Secretary, Directorate of Tea Tribes Welfare Assam, Palash Rajkumar ADC, and others.
