Young Indians Guwahati Chapter organised Free Cataract Surgery for 51 people at Gauhati Lion’s Hospital on 6th April’2022. The patients were from rural areas who could not afford the cost of the procedure and were identified by regular rural camps done by Gauhati Lion’s Hospital.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Amit Deorah , Chair Yi Guwahati Chapter & Dr Bidita Das , Co – Chair Yi Guwahati Chapter said that (Yi) is an integral part of CII and Young Indians Guwahati Chapter under the Health vertical has been continuously working towards providing assistance and support health initiatives in the state as a whole and also plan to continue this initiative in future as well.
A team of Yi Guwahati Chapter members were also present at the occasion and they interacted with officials of Gauhati Lion’s Eye Hospital and thanked them for their extended support towards the noble cause.
