Udalguri adjudged best performing district

The Udalguri district was being adjudged as the best performing district on roll-out of Joint Action Plan on prevention of drugs and substance abuse among children and illicit trafficking on by the National Child Rights Protection Committee in collaboration with N C B under Ministry of Home Affairs, Annapurna Devi the Union Minister for State of Education has outlined in her press briefing during her visit at Udalguri on Wednesday last.

Further Udalguri district has secured first rank in Skill Development and Basic Infrastructure theme for the month of February, 2022 in NITI Ayog’s delta ranking for Aspirational Districts all across India.

The Udalguri district has been ranked 3rd best performing district in the state under ’50 Days Challenge’ across all districts for works done under PMAY(U) by PMAY-HFA(Urban) Assam.
Annapurna Devi has appraised the district administration for their achievement and lauded the works done on students health care and development of Anganwadi Centres in the district.
The Union Minister visited Udalguri Higher Secondary School and interacted with teachers and students of the school.She asked students to become a good citizen and work for the nation with devotion and dedication.

She has planted a tree sapling and also taken a mid day meal with children. Puspadhar Bastola the Principal of the school has submitted a memorandum on the development of infrastructure of the school campus.
She has met public representatives, NGOs, SHGs, distinguished persons of the locality.
