Ahmedabad: In a shocking case, a man blackmailed his girlfriend and demanded that she male nude video calls to him in return for giving hacked Facebook and Gmail passwords.
The incident has been reported from the Ognaj area of Ahmedabad in Gujarat. The 22-year-old woman has now filed a police complaint against the accused identified as Jitendra Kumar.
According to a report in Times of India, the woman met the accused while playing PUBG game with her female friend.
The accused Jitendra had allegedly reset the victim’s Facebook and Gmail passwords and then demanded Rs 50,000 to give back the passwords.
The woman in her FIR stated that she was playing PUBG for a long time. She earlier used to play the game with her female friend.
Later, she met Jitendra, who was a friend of her female friend and started playing the game with him. The then duo started talking and Jitendra proposed a friendship to which she accepted.
When the accused started making indecent demands, the girl stopped taking his calls.
In May, when the victim tried to log into her Facebook and Gmail accounts, she realised that someone has hacked her passwords. The victim later found out that Jitendra had reset her passwords as he linked her Facebook ID to his mobile number.
The woman then discussed the matter with her cousin and she talked to Jitendra, who demanded Rs 50,000 to reveal the new passwords.
Then on June 2, Jitendra again called the woman and asked her to make a nude video call to him. Upset with his continuous harassment, the woman called police and lodged a complaint.
Sola police have now booked Jitendra Under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Information Technology Act.
