Random COVID-19 Tests in Guwahati from April 10

Amid the rising COVID-19 positive cases in Guwahati city, the Kamrup Metro Administration to conduct a three-day random COVID-19 testing at the business establishments, offices and places of worships from April 10 to 12.

The district administration appealed to the people of Guwahati for cooperation, an order stated.

The state is also keeping the core principles of COVID-19 management, namely ‘Testing, Tracing and Treating’, along with ramping up of vaccination for the eligible categories.

It may be mentioned that the health and Family Welfare department of Assam on Friday has issued a fresh set of COVID-19 guidelines for the upcoming, Eid, Bihu and other festival in the state.

In its COVID count, the state currently has 1,023 active cases while 2,15,790 people have recovered from the disease, including 68 patients on Thursday.

The COVID-19 recovery rate in Assam is 98.41%.
